From the FLU Home Page:
FLU is now running on a new server hosted in Houston. We're hoping that this will finally eliminate the instability issues we've been having. Hope to see you online.
It will be interesting to see how that affects ping--and even more interesting to see if that solves the problems Robo has been having.
I just checked, and I still have ships!

More info from Robo:
Well, an attempt at a mass email phailed, so I'll just post here as it seems like this is the most active recent thread.
FLU is now running on a new server hosted in Houston. So far no crashes, but it's also not been really challenged.
If server population doesn't come back then there's no point in me paying to have it hosted there. Also, donations would greatly help in keeping FLU up. I have enough in the FLU account to keep it going for another 4 months. After that, I'll likely put it back on my server at my place for anyone who still wishes to play here.
Otherwise, another grand old server goes into the night

You'll be happy to note that it is now safe to fly your LT's on FLU--after I got banned because Robo forgot to exclude a piece of equiment. lol
All good now. See you in space.
